Thank you to Steven, Diane and the team at Pet Pavillion Primrose Hill for the love, care and extra effort you go to ensuring the dogs of Primrose Hill are well looked after. Steven thank you for the extra care you take when grooming Gilbert not only does he come out feeling and looking like a puppy again. He has lost over 1kg thanks to your strict diet advice and encouraging me to stick to it - the weight loss has helped massively with his arthritis and other health issues as a senior dog. I am grateful that we have such a brilliant pet shop in our community. You guys are very much appreciated. love The Sweeney family

Iv'e been an almost daily customer for the last 7 years. Of course when Gail sold after 28 years to have a simpler life we were all sad. Fortunately Diane stayed on who is so caring, supportive and really helpful when advice is needed. My dog drags me in there everyday to see her, Steven, Nicole and Bryce and when our cat went missing they really helped get the word out. I see Steven is really calm and gentle with the dogs and does a detailed job. Dog grooming isn't as simple as most of us think. A successful hairdresser I know trained as a dog groomer and decided it is too undervalued by customers who don't realise how much time effort and energy it takes. Also local businesses are closing down everywhere due to electricity bills, business rates and rents. Please value what we have here, and support a really friendly, caring pet shop right on our high street.

I took my 3.4kg Maltese cross breed to this place, stupidly ignoring stories about how awful the grooming service is. I had initially been told the groom would be £75 but when I got there the cost went up to £85 on the basis that my dog has some shitzu and poodle in him. My dogs father, a pure Maltese who weighs double his size at 6.7kg would be charged only £75 on their warped costings matrix . Worse was yet to come . My dog was more matted than he should have been - and although I agreed to him being shaved as necessary I was shocked to see an almost fur free dog (in the midst of winter) when I collected him. It must have taken the groomer all of 15 minutes to give him “a number one” around his body (but left excessive hair near his eyes). There had been no attempt to groom properly despite the extortionate price. I complained to the owner of PP about my experience but like the uncaring and arrogant business he hasn’t bothered to respond. The woman who previously owned the place and still works there is and was as lovely as always. It’s a shame she sold to these money grabbers. Avoid this place - I wish I’d listened to the warning others had given me!

I’m afraid this lovely old neighbourhood pet shop has changed ownership and gone downhill since. I won’t go into detail here on the stock, marketing or other issues but it needs a complete re-think

Visited this place to buy some essentials for a puppy. Had the pleasure of being assisted by Duncan who was extremely helpful considering I’m a new dog owner. He advised me on what I needed now and what I should consider to buy later on. Did not try to push me to buy more than I needed. Customer for life. Highly recommend. Thanks again, Duncan.
