Very positive experience selling my car for a good price on Motorway. I was guided through each step and customer service was helpful when questions arose. Collection was delayed probably not helped by recent train strikes. Collector was very thorough and pointed out things I hadn’t noticed but we still got the original price offered. Very happy.
Decided to sell my three year old Mercedes CLA as for the last two years its been pretty much sat on my driveway costing me money. After posting the pictures and documents on their web site the whole process took less than a week to complete. Got an initial valuation from Motorway and it was put up for auction. Next day I got a email telling me what the highest bid was. Apparently two Mercedes dealerships bid on my car and I accepted the offer. It was a little over £1000 less than the motorway valuation but was more than I was expecting to get. The winning Mercedes dealership contacted me for some more information the same day and arranged for someone to come to me, do a final inspection and take the car away. I'm glad to say there were no more issues that could have reduced the sale price further. The money transfer, minus the outstanding finance, was in my bank account before the driver took the car away. All in all I'm very impressed. As I said the whole thing took less than 7 days to complete, I got probably got less than selling it privately, but as there was outstanding finance I didn't mind as It gave me a healthy deposit for a new used vehicle. My husband sold our car on Motorway. Overall the process went very well and we are pleased with the price we obtained at auction. It was better than the trade in price we had been offered. The service provided to Motorway was free to us which was very good. The information on the process was well set out and we were given written instructions at the appropriate stages. Contacting Motorway by phone was fairly easy and without long delays. We took photos of the car by camera and downloaded them. They were then attached to an email and sent to Motorway. As there were different people dealing with the receipt of the photos there was some delay and some photos had to be retaken as they were not acceptable. This was the only slight quibble that they were not always easily able to say what state our application had reached and they did not seem to have received all our emails and photos. Notification of the auction price was very prompt. The We Collect Cars driver Tim who came to the car was very good. He explained what he had to do, photographed the car, checked it over and contacted the buyer. He was friendly and helpful. We would certainly recommend considering Motorway to sell your car.
I did a search of ‘best place to sell your car’ and Motorway came up. I’d been quoted £2000 less by we buy any car. Sold the car within 24 hours, collected by dealer within 5 days. I missed a scratch off the listing so the price was reduced by £100, which was very fair. Money done via bank transfer. Absolutely 100% hassle free, completely trustworthy, fantastic price, I cannot praise this company enough and I would absolutely rate them as outstanding. Please use Motorway, do your research and you’ll see their feedback is good. My only bit of advice, because you will need to take lots of pictures you’ll need a bit of time and daylight.
